1. What are the timelines for Book delivery?
Orders that are to be shipped within India may take 2-3 working days in addition of 24-36 hrs for processing the card. Thus customers can normally look forward to their deliveries to be effected between 3 and 4 working days of completing the online transaction.
Delivery periods can also depend on the time taken by the issuing or acquiring bank to authorise. All delivery times mentioned are only estimates and are based on working days. Delays can sometime occur. The user will receive an email as soon as the order is dispatched
The user will be sent an email confirming the order placed on the site and a second mail will be sent confirming dispatch of the order.
2. Are International Orders accepted?
Yes, International orders are also accepted. International orders will be sent via DHL/Speed Post and may take 4-5 working days to get delivered. If the user wishes to use a less expensive mode of shipping such as unregistered air mail or surface mail, please email us. We will contact you with the precise shipping charges. Books will be dispatched only after the user confirms the mode and cost of shipping.
3. What are the Modes of Payment accepted?
Cash on Delivery, Cheque on Delivery, All major Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, NEFT, Cash Deposit in our Bank Account, Money Order (ordinary or electronic) are all acceptable methods of payment.
We accept Credit Cards, Demand Drafts and Cheques. In Credit Cards we accept payments by VISA and MasterCard only. Our payment gateway is CC Avenue.
Other than credit cards, we also accept payments in the form of Cheques and Drafts.
4. When will my Credit Card be debited for the transaction?
The user's credit card will be charged once the bank confirms the transaction.
5. If I stay in a region not serviced by a Courier, can I still buy books at www.onlinebookstall.in
Yes. There might be far-out areas wherein delivery via first class Courier isn't a possibility. In such an event, orders are sent either via regular book-post or registered post. We shall first put such a matter across to the customer and then post the order. Also, charges for such deliveries may vary and are generally higher than the usual courier cost
6. What if I am not satisfied with a book? Can I return it?
We treat bookselling as a service business and not merely merchandising. In line with this philosophy, we provide a unique service guarantee - Should you within 2 days of receiving the book, find it not quite satisfactory, you may return the book for a full refund, provided, it is unmarked, undamaged and in a resaleable condition. In all, the returned book/s need to reach us within 7 days of first shipment. In such cases actual amount towards handling and logistic charges will be deducted and the customer may purchase some other book for the balance value. Amount will not be refunded under any circumstances.
7. What if I would like to cancel an order that I have placed?
The user must cancel his/her order within 24 hours of placing it. Orders can be cancelled only over email at firstname.lastname@example.org Once the order is despatched, onlinebookstall.in will not accept any cancellation. In such cases return policy to be followed.
In case order(s) are cancelled for whatever reasons, Credit Card payments shall be refunded to the issuing bank in 7-10 working days. Payments made via Cheques/Drafts will be returned to customers immediately without any delay.
